CALAMITY: PLSHA CALLS ON RELEVANT AUTHORITIES TO COME TO THE AID OF RAIN STORM VICTIMS IN KANAM AND WASE LGAs

The Plateau State House of Assembly has called on the State Government and other relevant agencies to immediately come to the aid of the people of Dengi and Wase Constituency in Kanam and Wase Local Government Areas of Plateau State, who have suffered from the effect of the recent rain storm that hit the local governments.  

The Speaker, Hon. Peter Azi, who made this call today after listening to the members representing these Constituencies in the House, said, “We call on the government and other relevant agencies to come to the aid of these communities.”

Earlier while moving the Motion to intimate the members of the effects of the rain storm that hit the two local governments, Hon. Saleh Shehu, and Hon. Yahaya Adamu representing Dangi and Wase respectively, told the House that the effect of the rain storm is calamitous, as “It destroyed over 50 houses and good and properties worth over millions of naira. 

“We therefore humbly call on the house to also call on the government and other relevant authorities to come to the aid of these affected communities.”

In an earlier development, the House had unanimously approved the extension of the tenure of the Local Government Management Committees in the 17 Local Government Areas of the state by another two months.
