JUST IN: PLATEAU STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY WORKERS, PLAN TO PROTEST IF PAID WITH OLD SALARY SCALE THIS MONTH

By: Valentine Adese and Frank Agbai

There are strong indications that Plateau State House of Assembly workers are planning to protest, if the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration in the state, fails to pay this month’s salary with the alleged new salary scale, recently signed by the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong.

The workers who are all airs and with their phones in their hands waiting for Bank alert concerning salary payments, were seen discussing the issue in groups when REALITY visited the House.

According to some of them who spoke with REALITY on the grounds that their names should not be published, said, “the new salary scale is captured in the 2016 budget. We will want to know why the government is trying to pay us our salaries with the old scale. We will protest this decision when we get to the bridge.”

More details, coming soon!
