The Campaign Organization of Paul Jatau has called on members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, to vote in Mr. Paul Jatau for genuine reconciliation and unity among members. The campaign group led by Mr. Bulus Gambo and Mrs. Jennifer Yarima, who made this call, while on a campaign visit to REALITY Chapel, said they believe in the capability and the leadership qualities of Mr. Jatau, to unite the Council once more for progress.
Mrs. Yerima, who also assured the members of the Chapel of equity and justice if Mr. Jatau is voted in as Chairman, immediately started encouraging the female members of REALITY Chapel to come forward to join the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in the Council.
On his own part, Mr. Gambo told the members that for now, Mr. Paul is second to none among the contestants for the chairmanship position.
He said a vote for Mr. Paul Jatau is a "winning vote for the members of Plateau State Council and the Union at large."
Welcoming the campaign Organization to the Newspaper Company was the Chairman of REALITY Chapel, Mr. Alfred Saiki.
Others, who welcomed him and his team led by Mr. Bulus Gambo and Mrs Jennifer Yarima, include, Prince Valentine Adese (Publisher and Editor-in-Chief) Mr. Chizoba Nnabugwu, (Board Member), Steve Aluko Daniel (Ag. Director), Frank Agbai (Secretary of REALITY), Joy Olohi, Evelyn Duncan, Raji Ronke, Terhila Heenyo, Eunice Maina and Mr. Cush.
Mr. Paul Jatau and Mr. Peter Amine, who is also vying for the Secretary position in the Council, told REALIT Chapel members in their individual campaign speeches, that they simply want to bring back the lost unity of the members of the Council.
You would recall that the Plateau State Council has been taken over by grasses in the last one year, as most journalists have abandoned the Press Center for reason(s) yet to be uncovered by REALITY apart from the illegal rate of suspending members unconstitutionally.
