PYC, CONDEMNS ANTI-IGBO HATE SONG, CALLS ON SECURITY TO ARREST AND PROSECUTE MEDIA HOUSES INVOLVED

Plateau State Youth Council has strongly condemned the hate song in Hausa, asking the Igbos to vacate the northern part of Nigeria.

PYC made this condemnation today in a press briefing at the Plateau State Youth Center led by its Chairman, Dr. Fabong Yildam.
 
According to the Chairman, “The state of the economy, the poverty scourge and the Boko Haram insurgency are enough problems in the country to battle with. We cannot afford to make the mistake that brought us this low.”


Dr. Fabong, called on the Nigerian security operatives, to investigate and bring to book the perpetrators of the Hate Song against the Igbos and prosecute the media outfits that are propagating it.

He said:

“We call on the law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute media outfits that are propagating such hate speeches to forestall future occurrences. We also call on the broadcasters on Plateau, to help in checking people, who come on air to make hate speeches.”
