The Chairman, who just kick started the awareness campaign of his party (ADP), to the people of the local government this morning, made the youths and farmers in the locality his first point of call.
According to Hon. Azi in an exclusive interview, he told REALITY that, the areas worst hit by the disease in Jos East LGA include, Nukpis, Gwash and Gafan and the entire farming areas of Jos North LGA.
He said: “I don’t know if it is a disease, chemical reaction or lack of fertilizer but, the farmers are actually complaining of poor yield, as the Tomatoes they planted are drying up. They told me that they had taken steps to test the soil before planting, yet this was happening.
“I want to use this medium to call on the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) administration led by Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong to urgently come to the aid of these farmers in these areas.
“You know to us in ADP, food security is what we guide against, as that is one of the major needs of the masses today.”
Hon. Azi further disclosed that the ADP awareness campaign in the LGA would last for the next two weeks.
