COMRADE SULE ENFORCING THE STRIKE AT JED'S GATE
You would recall that in a communication dated 13th September, 2017, the national body of the ULC, had directed all affiliates and state councils of the Union, to commence a nationwide strike on Monday, 18th September, 2017 since, the 7-days final strike notice to the Federal Government of Nigeria expired, 12 midnight on Friday, the 5th of September, 2017.

The communication also directed that “All affiliates shall ensure that their workers, members and other officers at all levels of their operation comply with the strike action.”

You would recall that ULC in a communique after its emergency National Administrative Committee (NAC) meeting, jointly held with the National Strike Committee of ULC on Wednesday , 13th September, 2017,  at ULC headquarters at Yaba, Lagos State, told members of the union, that the Federal Government has failed to address their grievances.
Speaking on the Strike in Jos, Comrade Sule, who was at the gate of JED and enforcing the strike,  told REALITY that, “Though this course of action is very painful to us at this time, it is the only alternative available to us as we have exhausted all known peaceful processes towards an amicable resolution of the dispute. We call on all Nigerians to see reasons with us at this time.”
