According to them not all the sacked Commissioners may have performed badly before they were removed from office. So, the Governor should know how to accommodate them.
These political watchers in part said:
“We commend the step the governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong recently took by sacking all his Commissioners.
“We also expect him to set a search light on his advisers also in order to root out those who have not been helpful but still engaging the state on his behalf.
“We advise that the Governor should not waste more time in bringing people that would man these offices, owing to political reason(s) and the season that we are.
“We however urged the Governor to set out standard criteria for future appointments since, the days of compensating party members have come, gone and over.
“We are of the view that the Governor should assess future appointments based on Competence, Credibility, Grass-root support and Political-experience of any nominated individual”.
