OPINION: Stop This Macabre Dance of Shame in the Public, “Enough is enough”! An Open Letter by Dr. Moses Chingle of JUTH, to Barr. Solomon Dalung (Minister)

Piece written by Dr Moses Chingle of JUTH,
Dear Minister, I hold you in very high esteem but, I am disappointed with the manner in which you went about addressing this Presidential visit.
Sir, as a Minister of Sports of the FRN, you have the opportunity of discussing these issues privately with the Governor (one on one) but, you chose to go public for whatever reason(s). This may show the neutral Plateau man that, you have a hidden agenda and not defending our cause.

Secondly and very importantly, where did you come up with the issue of Governor. Lalong, commissioning roads that were 70% completed by the Jang administration?

This is a very dubious claim and portrayed all your actions in bad light! Sir, I have been in Jos/ Plateau, since Jang’s exit. As at may 2015, not even one lane of the Maraban Jamaa- Secretariat Junction road, was completed not to talk of the central divide and drainage.

That road by whatever standard(s) that we could see cannot be up to 50% completed. Where then, did you come up with 70% for a road that a single lane was not done? Do you wonder why Mr. Datti and Mr. Latep labeled you a PDP mole?

Sir, as a Minister of the FRN, you must have celebrated when your principal commissioned the railway system in Kaduna state. If you didn’t, I never read any complaints/ protest about that from you! Did Buhari start all those projects? Did he invite GEJ for the commissioning? How can you complain about Lalong’s commissioning this road even when Jang was there applauding?

I am not holding brief, for the Plateau State Government, neither, am I a politician like you but, I must say, I am disappointed in the manner you are embarrassing your party and by extension Mr. President in Plateau state.

The earlier you sit down with your party and stakeholders, the better we will harness Plateau resources at the Federal level for the security and development of our dear state.

This Macabre dance of shame in the public is enough, it will not do us any good!

Let Peace reign in Plateau state!
