Youths in Tudun Wada Community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, have been assured of smooth, quality, equal opportunities and a truthful leadership, as Tudun Wada Youth Forum (TYF) is set to have a new leadership that is committed to bringing all the youths together in order to have good representation for the community, irrespective of party, religion or tribal affiliation.
This position was made known in an exclusive interview with REALITY by the Secretary of the Forum, Mr. Shemshak Danladi Kassam, where he stressed that, virtually all the 24 communities in Tudun-Wada are having active leadership but, the center is very weak and inactive for quite some time now.
He further stated that because of the inactive and weak centre, they have been forced to register a new body with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), which will see Tudun Wada Youths benefit from all the good promises for the Youths from the state government.
“We are already in the process of registering the Forum with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), which we have already secured a name, TUDUN WADA YOUTH FORUM (TYF) with CAC.We were further advised by the Commission on the need to have a constitution with the name of the members of the EXCOs on it, for the association to have a legal backing. We are already working on it, as I speak with you.” Mr. ShemshakDanladi stated.
With the poor performance of the previous EXCOs, Mr. Danladi, expressed his disappointment that a lot of good benefits that are visible in other neighboringcommunities, from both Government and Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs), are not seen inTudun Wada Community because of, the inactiveness of the central leadership of the youths.
He also stressed that over time, different people always parade themselves in the name of TYF and collecting things meant for the Community and putting it in their personal pockets.
“I want to urge the residents of Tudun Wada, to support this movement and the proposed TYF and I assure them that after the registration process is concluded, TYF will ensure that all that legitimately belongs to the community will be given to them. At the end of the day, TYF is not just for the interest of only the youths in the community, but rather to all residents of Tudun Wada”.
“The Forum is not exclusive to any particular gender, tribe, religion or party, rather, it is for all positive minded youths in the Community”, Mr. Danaladi reiterated.
