Gang Up Against Gov. Lalong’s Return Begins

By: Valentine Adese,
There are strong indications that more nocturnal meetings have began in and around Plateau state, aimed at stopping  the return bid of the incumbent Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, to the state Government House.
The meetings REALITY gathered may not be unconnected with the declaration of the Governor’s interest to contest for the governorship seat of the state come 2019.

A REALITY finding reveals that the oppositions to the Governor’s bid are more in his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), than from the opposition.

According to an insider’s information (name withheld), who has been attending some of these meetings, “Those aggrieved members of the APC, are already willing to sponsor any acceptable candidate from any of the opposition political parties operating in the state, than put their penny in the campaign to return Governor Lalong to power.”

“Lalong has failed us all and we now cover our heads in shame in our communities. We campaigned and sponsored him but, the change we had told our people is not what they are getting. We are determined, as party faithful to make this sacrifice, to stop his return for the benefit of the state and future generation.” He added.
You would recall that, this paper had reported that most of the Governor’s aides and some sacked Commissioners had not been working for the Governor’s success and return bid before they were sacked unprepared.

REALITY also had reported that even some of the present Commissioners and aides have continually shown chameleon like attitudes, as they are for the Governor by the day and against him in their private meetings and at home with their families.

REALITY finding reveals that there already exist an established fund base from these meetings aimed at pressing home their campaign not to allowing the Governor return in 2019.

More to come!
