Mbum Ferdinand/Plateau United Football Club: Jay FM 101.9, Jos, Slams SWAN Chairman, Commends State Commissioner of Information, Others

The Management of Jay FM, 101.9, Jos, has condemned the unrepentant attitude of the Plateau State Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Plateau State chapter, Mr. Thaddeus Yilmen, for still remaining unapologetic for disowning Mr. Mbum Ferdinand before, during and after his travail with the Chairman Supporters’ Club of Plateau United Football Club, on Saturday, 24th March, 2018. 
JayFm Management team lead by the station’s Manager,  Mr. Manga Yusuf, in a press briefing in the Radio station today, told newsmen that the Management has received apology from the Management of Plateau United Football Club, which the station has accepted totally but, felt sad that Mr. Thaddeus Yilmen is yet to rethink his action of disowning Mbum and apologies.

Mr. Yilmen has remained unrepentant and we advise him to have a rethink.” The Management stated.

In part, the press text statement reads:

“Finally, it is important at this juncture, that we categorically state that we accept totally, the official apology of the Management of Plateau United football Club, and commend the General Manager, Mr. Pius Henwan for taking responsibility for the condemnable actions of some members of the Supporters Club.
“We hereby wish to appeal to many of our listeners who withdrew support for Plateau United Football Club on account of the forgiven and forgotten incident to promptly reconsider, and join us on a timeless journey to make Plateau state great again through the exploits of our darling team.  

“Special appreciation and commendation must go to the Commissioner of Information, Plateau state, Mr. Yakubu Dati, for his commitment to an amicable resolution of the impasse between us and Plateau United football Club.

“His effort and timely intervention was instrumental to the brokerage of peace and astounding understanding, which now defines the bond of brotherhood and friendship between us and all parties involved.”
