Members of Reality Chapel, a chapel under the Plateau State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) held their first Congress Meeting for 2023 on Friday, the 6th of January, urging members to improve on their journalistic skills.
The meeting which was held at REALITY Newspaper’s Office complex in Jos, was also used to review the activities of the Chapel in 2022 and make plans for 2023.
Journalist Alfred Saiki, the Chairman of the Chapel, while welcoming members to the Congress, prayed for a better and prosperous year ahead.
He congratulated the Publisher for his relentless pursuit of upgrading the status of the company with the introduction of Reality Online Television.
Mr. Alfred, further urged members to improve on their writing and presentation skills as Reality Newspaper, ValRealityRadio, and TV have become a brand in the media industry.
He went on to encourage them to learn new skills, as journalism has become more dynamic.
On his part, Prince Valentine Adese (JP), the Publisher and CEO of Reality Newsline Media International, owners of Reality Newspaper, Valrealityradio and TV, thanked members in the Congress for their efforts despite the harsh economic situation and urged them to take advantage of the platforms, not just for promoting the company but also their personal development.
After the meeting that latest over three hours, the Congress resolved that, members should endeavor to participate more in all NUJ organized activities and also ensure that their dues are up to date.
“They also resolved that, they will carry out more community reportage, as they seek to help in the development of their immediate communities”. The communique after the meeting stated, among other resolutions.
