Before approaching and filing Suit No: PLD/J322/2024, Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN), had asked, Mr. James Nyango, whether they had any personal relationship before the alleged libelous publications. REALITY gathered from the Court processes.  

In a letter dated 23rd January 2024, written and addressed to Mr. James, Hon. Pwajok (SAN) had also asked the Defendant whether they had any disagreement to warrant publications,  maliciously aimed at tearing his hard-earned reputation apart.

ALLEGED LIBELOUS PUBLICTION: WHY HON. EDWARD PWAJOK (SAN) IS DEMANDING N250 MILLION FROM MR. JAMES NYANGO, IN COURT

Hon. Edward G. Pwajok (SAN) has dragged one Mr. James Nyango, a Civil Servant working with Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) to Court over an alleged defamatory publication, and demanding the sum of N250,000,000.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) only, as “General Damages”.

The case from the Court’s record is coming up for hearing on the 19th of September 2024, at the Plateau State High Court Jos.

According to the processes filed by Hon. Pwajok (SAN) in Court in Suit No: PLD/J322/2024, against Mr. James Nyango, a Director in JUTH, and an alleged member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), from the same ethnic group with him, over the alleged defamatory publication in his post on his Facebook page on the 16th of January 2024, Hon. Pwajok claims that the libelous publication has caused huge pain and distress to him and his family members.

Hon. Edward G. Pwajok (SAN) has dragged one Mr. James Nyango, a Civil Servant working with Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) to Court over alleged defamation.

The case is coming up for hearing on the 19th of September 2024, at the Plateau State High Court Jos.

According to the Court processes in Suit No: PLD/J322/2024, between, Hon. Edward Gyang Pwajok (SAN) who is the Claimant, and Mr. James Nyango, the Defendant, Mr. James, a Director in JUTH, and an alleged member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), made the defamatory publication in a post on his Facebook page on the 16th of January 2024.

After Three (3) years of managing Plateau Club Jos by its Board of Trustees (BoT), Comrade Banchir K. Jibrin has emerged as its President, unopposed.

Others who emerged unopposed in the election were, Bature Alamba (Sport Sec), Cyprian Dongjar (Social Sec), Gabriel Aiso (Treasurer), Douglas Alexander (Bar Sec), Raphael Mudutalai (Sec Gen) and Victoria V. Peters as (Vice President).

BREAKING: SWEARING-IN CEREMONY OF PLATEAU CLUB JOS' EXCO, STALLED, COMRD BANCHIR, OTHERS REACT, BoT TO MEET PLATEAU CP TOMORROW

The much awaited swearing-in ceremony of the new Executive Committee to managed Plateau Club Jos, was stalled by Security Operatives today. REALITY gathered.

You would recall that the Club since the Covid era has been managed by the Board of Trustees (BoT) and the vacuum became necessary to be filled hence the setup of an Electoral Body.

REALITY gathered that the members were surprise to see the presence of the police in the premises while they were preparing for the swearing-in.

On inquiry, the members felt bad that the security did not only come to the Club to stop the ceremony, but to seal the premises. REALITY was told.

BREAKING: PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR, FORMALLY CLOSES DOWN, SAINT ACADEMY JOS, TO ARREST CITY MINERS

The Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang has personally visited Saint Academy where students were killed and others sustained several degrees of injuries because of the collapsed school building.

At the scene, the Governor disagreed and rejected the explanation of the Principal of the School that they were not aware of the danger because the build never showed any sign.

To enforce the States Executive Order 003, the Governor has closed down the school and order more investigation into the immediate and remote course(s) of the collapse.

The attention of the members of the ARGANDO Ruling House, and the Kingmakers of the chieftaincy stool of the Rekna of Bashar and the stakeholders of Bashar Chiefdom has been drawn to a press conference made by persons who purportedly represented themselves as 'Concerned Stakeholders of Bashar Chiefdom' on the 8th day of July 2024, at the NUJ Press Centre, Jos.

Following the said press conference, as read by one Shehu Mujahid Abubakar. We deem it necessary to use this forum to correct the misrepresentations and inaccuracies or falsehood peddled at the said Press conference for the purpose only of putting the records straight for the present and the future. This is in furtherance of the saying that a lie not debunked or corrected can assume the colour of truth.
