PLATEAU: First Female Chairman of NUJ Plateau, Journalist Ayuku Pwaspo, Marks One Year Anniversary in Office, As the Council Celebrates Cultural Day

The first Female Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Plateau State Council, Journalist Mrs. Ayuku M. Pwaspo, marks 24th of September 2024, as her one Year anniversary in office.

The day also coincides with the cultural day event of the ongoing 2024 Press Week of the Council in which members came out in colours with their cultural identities at the Press Center in Jos.

PLATEAU LGC ELECTION: RALLY ROUND, HON. GRACE ZAMFARA OUR PARTY CHAIRMAN-- PROF. PATRICK S. DAKUM URGES LP MEMBERS, AS HE COMMENDS, E. G. PWAJOK (SAN)

Leader of the Plateau State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, IHVN, Professor Patrick Sunday Dakum, has called on all members and supporters of the LP to disregard the perpetrated interim change of party leadership in the state and support the party Chairman, Grace Zamfara for a robust and successful outing at the 9th October, 2024, Local Governments Council elections.

Prof. Dakum who made this call in a Press Release, dated 12th September 2024, and signed by his Media Consultant Mr. Shabul Mazadu, also commended his running mate, Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN, KSM) for standing firm for the party, and encouraging members to be more united in ensuring victory for the party at the Local Government Poll.

PLATEAU: BREAKING: GOV. MUTFWANG, TO BUILD JOS/BUKURU VALUE CHAIN PROCESSING COMMODITY-MARKET

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has promised to build Jos/Bukuru Markets to be a major means of government’s policy to further boost the economy activities of the state. He has also promised to set aside, the sum of One Billions Naira for young entrepreneurs in state to enhance the processing and marketing of commodities.

He said the completion of the exercise would harness the potential of Plateau State towards redesigning the transformation of the economy well-being by enhancing the agriculture commodity marketing roadmap.

2024 PRESS WEEK: GOV. MUTFWANG, SEN. LALONG, OTHERS BAG NUJ AWARDS

The incumbent Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and the immediate past Governor of Plateau State have bagged the Nigeria Union of Journalists Award for their achievements and development strides in Plateau State.

While the incumbent Governor, Caleb Mutfwang (Esq) was awarded by the Plateau State Council of NUJ in in recognition of his transformative and impactful leadership in the state, the immediate past Governor, Sen. Simon Bako Lalong was awarded for his achievements and contribution to the growth of Journalism Profession in the state, his invaluable support to the NUJ Plateau State Council, and particularly, for remodeling the Union's Secretariat.

IPA TO PARTNER WITH PLATEAU STATE CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD, AS THE EXECUTIVE SECREATRY, COMMENDS MEDIA PRACTITIONERS

The Executive Secretary of Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Wanson Yusufu Bagu, has commended the efforts of Media Practitioners in Plateau State and the country at large in news coverage. He has also charged them to always give accurate and balance reportage despite all odds, while discharging their social responsibility to the society.

Rev. Bagu gave this charge during a courtesy visit on him and his office by the members of the Independent Publishers Association (IPA), led by its Chairman, Mr. Shabul Mazadu in Jos.
