NASARAWA: LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS’ ELECTION TO HOLD ON 31ST AUGUST, 2024. NASIEC BOSS DISCLOSES

Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission ( NASIEC) has released time table for the conduct of Local Government Councils (LGCs) Election in state.

Briefing Newsmen, at NASIEC Secretariat along Shendam Road Lafia on Friday, the Chairman of the Commission, Barr Ayuba Wandai Usman disclosed that, the Councils’ election would be held on Saturday, 31st August, 2024.

He said the present crop of Council Chairmen tenure would elapsed on Monday, 7th October, 2024, after exhausting their three years tenure.

Barr. Usman explained that, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in the state has demonstrated maturity and exemplified peace and decorum in its affairs, which has pave way for a conducive political atmosphere in the state.

NASIEC Boss maintained that, “the Commission is a Law abiding Institution and will continue to promote adherence to Laws, rules and regulations governing the conduct of Local Government Councils’ election in the state”.

Barr. Usman, praised the role of Media practitioners in the state for projecting the Commission’s activities. He also expressed hope that, “such spirit of co operations will continue to prevailed for the benefits of both parties”.
