BREAKING: PLATEAU: PDP WOMEN LEADERS, PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON STATE CHAIRMAN, HON. CHRIS HASSAN AND HIS TEAM

Plateau State Northern Senatorial Zone Women Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have collectively, passed a Vote of Confidence on the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Chris Hassan and his EXCO.

According to the women, who paid a courtesy call on the Chairman in his office yesterday, the need to express their support and faith in the administration of the Chairman became necessary, after observing his determination with his EXCO to keep the state chapter, as one united family.

Ngo Christy Nyam, the Plateau Northern Senatorial Zone Women Leader, who spoke on behalf of other Women Leaders said, “In view of the sacrifices you and your team have offered to keep this party strong in the opposition, my good self and the entire women of the Northern Senatorial Zone of the PDP in the state, hereby, pass a Vote of Confidence on you and your esteem EXCO”.

Adding that, “We the Northern Zone Women Leaders wish to appreciate God for giving us the grace to meet with you today.

“Since our election in August, 2020, we have tried to meet with you, but due to some unforeseen circumstances it was not possible.

“As the PDP Party Chairman of Plateau State, we have come to pray with you and to inform you that we are solidly with you to achieve your desired goals.

“This meeting is just timely and by the Grace of God, we the Women Leaders of the Northern Senatorial Zone have agreed to join you and your team in the EXCO to move the party forward.

“We have equally witnessed with great concern, your managerial capability in handling and sustaining the affairs of the party in the state. We shall not be distracted in supporting you to actualize your set goals.

“There is no doubt Sir, that we have also observed with keen interest your performances to unify the party by, providing a reconciliatory mechanism that will ensure our unity. You have always emphasized that the unity of this party is your cardinal desire and prime importance, so that, all of us will smile come 2023 to little Rayfield Government House”.

The women, also charged the Chairman to find a way of stopping negative and insulting communications among members in the social media, as it amounts to, “washing dirty linen outside”.

In his response to the sudden position of the Women Leaders, Hon. Chris said, “I am so delighted, I am happy and short of words to express my joy for this visit”.

“I however, promise to work harder as charged!”

Giving details of what he has so far experienced in office, the Chairman told the Women Leaders that, he met close to 48 Court cases pending in Courts across the state, but owing to his efforts and that of the EXCO, the cases have reduced to 12. Adding that, in a short time most would still be dispensed with.

“He disclosed to them that, Plateau State PDP has always been in the first line in taking women issues to the table and that will never change”.

“We as EXCO would also be looking more on how Women can grow from the Local, State and to the National level”. He added.
