BREAKING: PLATEAU: APC’S BASSA/JOS-NORTH PRIMARY ELECTION, DECLARED INCONCLUSIVE, OWING TO A STALEMATE

By: Valentine Adese (JP),

The organizers of the Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  Primary Election for Bassa/Jos-North Federal Constituency of Plateau State, have declared the exercise inconclusive.

The Plateau State chapter of the APC is conducting its primary election in order to pick a candidate, who would contest in the rerun election scheduled by INEC this month, to fill the vacant seat at the National Assembly, caused by the death of its occupant, late, Hon. Haruna Maitala.

As at the time of reporting, there are strong indications   that, the party’s hierarchy is making move to resolve the stalemate that may have resulted from the exercise, which took place at Lamond Hotel on Apollo crescent Jos.

You would recall that, the election results declared by the umpire at the ongoing Primary had come under attack leading to controversy.

REALITY has just gotten information that, Aspirants for the seat, supporters and other delegates are been called back do discuss the way out of the logjam, as most delegates have left the venue.

Indications are that, the stalemate is between, Hon. Joseph Abbey and Hon. Suleiman Kwnade, with both having 344 votes each.

You would recall that REALITY had earlier reported that, the venue (Lamond Hotel) would be used by the PDP tomorrow to also conduct its Primary election for the same purpose.
