A candidate into the Nasarawa State House of Assembly under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Peter Patrick Enna has expressed his disappointment with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decision to shift the Governorship and State Houses of Assemblies elections in the country, which was expected to hold tomorrow to 11th March, 2023.

Hon. Enna, who made his feelings known in Lizy Village of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area (LGA) of the state explain that, INEC has only succeeded in adding more stress, tension, as well as, overheating the polity with what he described as, “uncalled for shifting” of the Saturday’s 11th ,2023 election to next week Saturday 18th March, 2023.

The candidate, who is contesting to represent Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency in the State Assembly was in Lizy Village to commission a community Health center he provided for the community explained that, he had since completed his campaign and was only awaiting the electorates verdict. He pointed out that, with the shifting on the election date by INEC, he would have no other option than going round his various wards for what he described as retouching campaign, which is an additional expense on him and other candidates across the country.

He appealed to the electoral body to ensure that, Saturday 18th, 2023 remains sacrosanct so as not to allow the electorates have apathy on the entire electoral process.

Hon Enna explained that, his desire to construct a community Health center in his village was born out of the fact that, his people have faced untold hardship as a result of lack of health facilities. Adding that, the health center assists them greatly in attending to their health needs.

He said he also purchased a brand new Ambulance vehicle for use at the health center, especially, for emergency cases that cannot be treated at the center and for reference purposes. He appealed to the community to make the best use of the center, as well as, guard the property jealously in order to protect it from being vandalized.

In his remarks at the occasion Ambassador Emmanuel A. Engom, commended the Hon. Peter Patrick Enna, for coming to the rescue of his community by providing them with such befitting health center, while urging him to keep the tempo, if finally elected to represent the Constituency at the State Assembly.

Declaring the health center open, a retired Police AIG, Philip Maku, described Mr. Enna, as a true philanthropist whose motive is to come to the rescue of the less privileged in the society.

He appealed to the electorates to turn out en mass and cast their votes for Hon. Peter Patrick Enna on Saturday 18th, March, 2023.
