PLATEAU: POLITICIANS FROM PDP, APC, OTHERS DECAMPING TO ACTION ALLIANCE (AA) IN THE LAST TWO DAYS

There are strong indications that, after the victory of the Action Alliance (AA) over INEC at the Federal High Court  Abuja Judicial Division, many politician have began to seek a place in the party, especially, in Plateau State.

You would recall that in the judgment of the Court in suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/1759/2022 filed by way of Originating Motion, the Action Alliance (AA) had challenged INEC for not uploading and displaying the names of its candidates for the 2023 general elections.

The Court in its judgment dated 4th November, 2022, had ordered and directed INEC to upload and display the names.

“Upon this notice of Originating Motion dated and filed on 30th day of September, 2022.

“And after hearing Chimezie Ogenna Nwodo (Esq), with Usman A. Dauda (Esq) and Faruk Mamedu (Esq), Counsel for the Applicant urging the court to grant the reliefs as contained in the Motion with the accompanying process and the Respondent being absent and not represented in Court with no Counter Affidavit filed.

“And the Court having delivered judgment this 4th day of November, 2022 makes the following Order.

“That the Respondent is directed to upload and display the names of the Applicant’s candidates for the 2023 General elections which had been forwarded to the Respondent as its candidates for the said General Election”. The Court had held.

Among the names not uploaded and displayed is the governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Simput Eagles Dafup II.
