18 Covid-19 Vaccine Champions, Emerge in Kano

Center for Information and Development CITAD has appointed 18 Covid-19 Vaccine Champions from Three (3) Geopolitical Zones in Nigeria with the determination to get all Nigerian citizens vaccinated.

The appointments were made during a two day training on Covid-19 Vaccine Champions organized by, Center for Information and Development (CITAD), between 13th and 14th December, 2021, at Tahir Guest Palace in Kano, Kano State.

While giving the opening remarks, the Executive Director Center for Information and Development (CITDA), Dr. Yunusa Zakaria Yau, welcomed all the participants, who came from 2/3 of the geographical zone, which includes Northeast,(Borno and Bauchi) Northwest (Kaduna and Kano), and North Central (Plateau and Kogi)

With 3 successful participants, who are called the Covid-19 Champions, urged the participants to give their maximum support and cooperation, while the training unfolded.

While facilitating on understanding Covid-19 pandemic, generating fake narratives, countering covid-19 and vaccines, Dr Hassan Shuaibu Musa, from Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi State delivered a paper on, how covid-19 works, its vaccine and the importance of taking the vaccine.

In a paper on Fake Narratives Countering Covid-19 and its Vaccine, Mr. Austin, discussed extensively on how the vaccines work.

The highlight of the training includes group discussions and presentations by the Covid-19 vaccine Champions and among others.
