Saturday 4 December 2021

Today, the 4th of December, 2021, ValReality Radio is marking its One Year of Effective Broadcasting Globally.

Established on the 4th of December, 2020, ValReality Radio as an Online Radio, now has over, Six Thousand Six Hundred (6,600) Listeners in Twelve (12) Countries, with, over Four Hundred and Thirty Five Followers (435) globally, as at today!

It all started sometime in September, 2020, with the pushing and vision of Mr. Sibin Girum Benjamine, who wanted REALITY Newspapers to establish and own a Radio Station.

Mr. Sibin, at that time, already had the believe that, REALITY Newspapers, owned by Prince Valentine Adese (JP), can cause a shift in the media practice, coverage and reach from Plateau State.

He then urged, Prince Valentine (JP), to go global in order to create a widow for Plateau people, the Isokos, and other Nigerians to express themselves in the global stage with the platform.

Engr. Samuel Ogijo, bought the idea of Mr. Sibin and then built a better concept with the believe that, when the Radio is established, it would grow the media practice and give more opportunities to Plateau people, New entrants into the profession, the Nigerian public, among others, as it would help them to ventilate their anger, frustrations, and promote their developmental ideas on the platform to the global audience.

Journalist Samson Omale, who became aware of the project, a month after putting painstaking efforts, helped the Think-tank to assess the possible challenges ahead of its establishment. He never seized with his advises, encouragements and directions to help get the Online Radio on track even in the face of Financial and Technical needs.

Mrs. Osinachi Adese, wife of Prince Valentine (JP), never failed in providing the Legal Framework, as REALITY Family, decided to put all hands on deck to see to the achievement of the project (ValReality Radio).

REALITY Family, led by its Chapel Chairman, Mr. Alfred Saiki, were not only engaging, but created the enabling environment for the birth of ValReality Radio, on 4th of December, 2020.

As a young project (Radio) in a challenging and competing media environment, like in Jos, the Plateau State capital, we never thought we can survive a month.

But, the likes of Mr. Steve Aluko Daniel, Mr. Chizoba Nnabugwu, Mr. Kim John and his sister, Miss. Jemimah John, Hauwa Kabir, Ronke Raji, Eunice Maina, Lady Joy, Frank Agbai and Jennifer Nentawe  (REALITY Chapel’s Secretary) drove the process.

We want to appreciate the contributions of the Plateau State Government, led by Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Mr. Yakubu Dati, the Commissioner of Information and Communication Plateau State, Hon. Dan Manjang, the Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Lalong, Dr. Makut Simon Macham, the owner of Honey Tops Fast-Food Restaurant, at Polo roundabout in Jos, Mr. Celestine Iwezulu, the Adese and the Okporgo Families, among others, too many to mention.
