The stage for the 2023 Plateau State Governorship contest is becoming clear and formidable, with the entrant and declaration of interest by EVS Podar Johnson Yiliwan, to join race.
You would recall that, Podar Johnson, was one of the youths that contested the Governorship seat in Plateau State alongside, Sen. Jonah Jang, under the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), then led by President Muhammadu Buhari, as the party’s Presidential candidate.
Since the defunct of the CPC, owing to the merger caused between it, ACN, ANPP and the N-PDP to form the All Progressives Congress (APC), this is the first time, the CPC chapter in Plateau State is seeing one of its members seeking to still occupy the Number One seat in the state.
In a letter Podar personally addressed to REALITY concerning his aspiration he stated that, his aim of seeking the office of Governor of Plateau State, is to help build Trust out of the Ashy of the crises that have engulfed the state and return the state back to the part of Development.
“I wish to formally bring to your knowledge my humble and noble intention to vie for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the state, as a build up to the forth coming Plateau State Governorship election come 2023.
“Chiefly, my desire to lead the state is captured on the need for us to, “Make Plateau Great Again”, by building Trust from Crises in the minds of Plateau citizens, as we hope to adopt the Culture of Tolerance, as a major vehicle towards achieving the home of peace and tourism (Hospitality) that we are known for.” Podar stated.
MORE TO COME….
