JUST IN: PLATEAU: ESTATE SURVEYORS, (ESV) EMMANUEL ADELEKE AND (ESV) MRS. UBA JOY, SWORN-IN, AS BRANCH CHAIRMAN AND COORDINATOR, NIESV WOMEN’S WING, RESPECTIVELY

The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Plateau State Branch has inaugurated its new Executives for 2022 through to 2024.

THE INAUGURATION

The event, which held at De Bridge Hotel Jos, Plateau State, on Thursday, 31st March, 2022, saw Estate Surveyors (ESV) Emanuel Adeleke Solomon, and (ESV) Mrs. Uba Joy, inaugurated as, Branch Chairman and NIESV Women’s Wing Coordinator, respectively.

In his remarks during the inauguration, the outgoing Branch Chairman, Estate Surveyor (ESV) Simeon Anakwuru, urged the newly sworn in Chairman and his Exco, to work as a team and bring out the best of their professional skills and knowledge to manage the branch, within their tenure.

Also, in an on-the-spot exclusive interview with REALITY, the outgoing Chairman, (ESV) Simeon Anakwuru, while giving a background of the activities of NIESV said, it includes, Property Management, Land Survey and Enlightenment of the general public with respect to land.

Also speaking to REALITY, the newly sworn-in Chairman, (ESV) Emanuel Adeleke Solomon, while thanking the entire elders of the Institution and all the personalities present, for finding him worthy for the position, pledged to serve the Institution to the best of his ability.

The new Chairman said that, his focus during his tenure would be more on advocacy, members’ capacity building, and welfare, among others.

He called on Government officials at all levels to give members the opportunity to serve their careers and not isolate them when their services are needed.

On her part, the newly sworn-in Coordinator of NIESV Women’s Wing, Estate Surveyor (ESV) Mrs. Uba Joy, appreciated the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers for the inauguration.

She also pledged to serve the Institution to the best of her ability, while calling on the Exco of the Women’s Wing, to work hard and do more than the men of the Institution.

Adding that, “There is a saying that what men can do, women can do even better!”

The inauguration was graced by other professional bodies like: The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), ICAN, ANAN, Builders Association of Nigeria, Institute of Architect, Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and Prestige Home of Fashion, among others.

The highlights of the event includes, a short advice from HRH OBA ESV Togun Oladele, the Alalu of Alu kingdom, who doubles also as the Secretary of Traditional Rulers in South-East Yagba, Kogi State, the presentation of plague to members and refreshments.
