The move and search to pick a running mate and Deputy, for the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State may have come to an end, with the Coalition of APC Kaduna Youths and Southern Kaduna Support Group in the state, backing and submitting the name of, Barr Samuel Bature for consideration.
The Groups in a joint statement made available to media houses in Kaduna and across the states in the North Central zone, have called on the APC Governorship candidate (Uba Sani) to search no more as, “Barr Samuel is indeed the answer in helping his administration when it commences governance, to sustain the Legacies of Governor El-rufai and do more for the state”.
It is to be noted that, Barr Samuel Bature, hails from Gworok (Kagoro) in Kaura Local Government of Kaduna State. He was born on the 18th day of March, 1980, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ezekiel Bature Datyong, in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria.
While explaining more on why the groups believe in the capacity and ability of Barr Samuel’s fitness for the Job, they stated as part of his bio-data that, “He enjoyed a modest upbringing, which has instilled in him the virtues and values that have shaped his worldview basically founded upon an absolute devotion to God, family, and the upliftment of the ideals and standards, which promotes peace and good development for all in society”.
Adding that, “Sam began his primary education at the University of Jos Demonstration Primary School, and then briefly attended ECWA Primary School, Kadarko, Kaduna in 1985, after which he concluded at Alheri Primary School, Jos in 1992.
“He had his Secondary School education at the prestigious Government Boys College Pankshin, in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State from, 1993 to 1999.
“Here, he was privileged to lead in a number of capacities. These include: President, Literary and Debating Society, President, Press Club, President, F.C.S, The Zonal President, F.C.S (Pankshin LGA), President, Children Ministry, and Deputy Head Boy, Government Boys College Pankshin, among others.
“Sam has an unquenchable thirst for education and in the light of which he sought for, and gained admission to the prestigious University of Jos in 2002, and later bagged a Bachelors of Law (LLB), in 2008.
“While on campus, he was the Chairman, Task Force Committee on Dress Code, Character and Conduct and was awarded as the Face of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Jos, in 2003.
“He thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, and was called to the Nigerian Bar shortly afterwards.
“Sam did his compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Nassarawa State, where he served as the Legal Adviser to the Local Government Chairman, and was also elected as the President of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Community Development Service (CDS).
“In pursuit for further knowledge, he proceeded to the University of Jos in 2010, where he obtained a Master of Laws in 2011.
“His career at the bar was quite eventful as he began his pupilage at the law firm of Sule A. Kwasau & Co Law Firm, Jos, Plateau State, where he trained for some years until he set up his own firm, Samuel E. Bature & Co, (Sound Bite Solicitors) in 2014.
“He is a legal luminary with vast experience in the areas of corporate practice, Property law, civil litigations, and Election Petition, amongst many others.
“Sam is passionate about law, good governance, lawmaking, and international diplomacy, a passion that drove him to seek for, and gain admission in 2015, to pursue a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.), at the University of Jos, where he is currently studying”.
REALITY gathered that, Barr Samuel particular area of interest is International Law, with emphasis in nuclear Law and has a number of publications in this regard. Some of which includes: An Assessment of the Role of the Atomic Energy Agency, the International Atomic Agency, North Korea Nuclear Program and the Challenges of International Law.
Furthermore, it is gathered that, the nominee of the Coalition of APC Kaduna Youths and Southern Kaduna Support Group, Barr Samuel is happily married to, Mrs. Rotkang Samuel Bature, and the union is blessed with three lovely boys.
Barr Samuel Bature is a member of ECWA Church and a patron and member of a number of charities across the country.
