Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed confidence that the ongoing Oil and Gas exploration in Obi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state would no doubt place the state amongst the committee of “Oil Producing States” in the country.
In an address at an Investment Summit organized by the State Government on Wednesday, Engineer Sule, called on investors in the areas of oil and gas sector to continue to show great interest in the oil and gas activities currently going on in the state.
The summit whose theme is "The Industrial Renaissance", according to the State Governor is part of the efforts by his administration to ensure the rapid industrialization of the state with a view of opening up job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
The Governor disclosed that the program for the summit would dwell extensively on Agriculture and Mining, while on Thursday discussants would dwell squarely on Oil and Gas.
The Governor, who was impressed at the large turnout of dignitaries at the event, commended the organizers for a job well done and pledge his administration’s preparedness to receive investors.
According to him, “the state is ready for business”.
In his message and remarks at the occasion, President Bola Ahmed Tinibu, commended Governor Sule for putting together the Summit, and that “it is in line with his administration's policy on industrialization”.
Represented by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite, President Tinubu disclosed that the Federal Government would lower the cost of doing business, and ensure the empowerment of manufacturers to excel in their various fields of endeavors.
The President further assured all State Governments that the Federal Government would give them all the necessary backing to ensure the exploration of their mineral deposits in their respective states.
