The case between Superfine Furniture and Yakubu C. Jang at the Chief Magistrate Court, Giring Abattoir in Jos, Plateau State, could not commence today, 9th May 2024, as the Chief Magistrate Court could not find proof of service of the Court’s Summons on Yakubu Jang in the Court’s file.
The matter has been adjourned to the 10th of June 2024 to enable proper service.
The Court presided over by her Worship, Tamwakat, owing to an application by the Counsel to the Plaintiff/Claimant, D. A. Dalung (Esq) for Parties to maintain the current Status quo, has ordered that, “further activities that would constitute part of the allegations before the Court must be stopped”.
Earlier, the Counsel to Yakubu Jang, Y. M. Maika (Esq), had told the Court that his Client was not in Court because he had not been served the Court’s Summons and had been out of the Country.
He said hopefully, Yakubu Jang would be in the country on the 30th of May 2024.
You would recall that Superfine Furniture had dragged Yakubu Jang, the son of Sen. Jonah Jang to the Plateau State Chief Magistrate Court over a Land issue and also alleging Criminal Trespass, and Intimidation, among others.
