The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in coming Saturday’s Re-run election for the House of Representatives election for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan and his Campaign Organization have strongly condemned in strong terms insinuations in a section of the conventional and social media suggesting that he has stepped down for another candidate in the race.
The Campaign Organization in a Press Statement made available to Media men in Jos, urged the general public to also disregard a certain video which has since gone viral to discredit its candidate and the APC ahead of the election to pave the way for a certain candidate.
The statement by the Ibrahim Baba-Hassan Campaign Organization has called on APC supporters and the public, “to be weary of these undesirable elements who are out to malign and impugn the candidacy of Ibrahim Baba-Hassan, adding that he is fully in the race and has never contemplated stepping down for any person under any guise”.
Adding that, “The allegations are not only baseless and fictitious, but a calculated attempt by mischief makers and his opponents to blackmail him in order to pave way for their preferred candidate who regards his candidacy as a stumbling block to realizing his ambition”.

BABA-HASSAN IS STILL IN THE RACE FOR SATURDAY’S BASSA/JOS NORTH HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES RERUN ELECTION
The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Saturday’s rerun House of Representatives election for Bassa/Jos North , Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan has condemned in strong terms insinuations in a section of the conventional and social media suggesting that he has stepped down for another candidate in the race.
According to a statement by the Ibrahim Baba Hassan Campaign Organization, the allegations are not only baseless and fictitious, but a calculated attempt by mischief makers and his opponents to blackmail him in order to pave way for their preferred candidate who regard his candidacy as a stumbling block to realizing his ambition.
The statement explained that at no time did Ibrahim Baba-Hassan contemplate stepping down for anybody or discuss the issue with any individual, group(s) or organizations noting that the allegations only exist in the figment of the imagination of authors whose stock in trade is to blackmail him and his party, the APC.
The statement further stated that the APC candidate which has attracted wide support and acceptability by the electorates is already neck deep in sensitization campaigns ahead of the Saturday election and called on the people to disregard their campaign of calumny against him.
The former Deputy Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly regretted that speculations in some quarters, especially social and conventional media aimed at discrediting his candidature is an effort in futility aimed at dragging his name to the mud.
