By: Amb. Valentine Adese (JP),

Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi (PhD OON), Member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State, at the Green chambers of the National Assembly has called on supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his political associates to denounce the rumour making the rounds in the state that there is a crack in the Plateau APC chapter because of his absence in the Stakeholders meeting held yesterday.

Rt. Hon. Gagdi, in a press statement, tagged: “WHY I WAS NOT AT THE APC STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING”, stated that he remains a committed member of the APC in Plateau state and unflinchingly loyal to the chapter’s political leader, Senator Simon Bako Lalong and the gubernatorial flag bearer in the 2023 elections, Prof. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe.

“My absence at today’s APC stakeholders meeting in Jos has generated a furore among our political detractors who went to town insinuating a phantom crack within our party (APC) in Plateau State.

“Without equivocation, I want to state that I remain a committed member of the APC in Plateau state and unflinchingly loyal to our political leader, Senator Simon Bako Lalong and our gubernatorial flag bearer in the 2023 elections, Prof. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe; in whom I have found a trusted friend, brother and a likemind. Indeed, my trust in the Leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is remains unwavering.

“My supporters and political associates are hereby advised to discountenance the rumour being peddled by our political opponents and go all out to support and vote for the two Candidates of our party, Amb Chris Giwa and Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan to represent Northern Senatorial Zone and Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency respectively”.

WHY I WAS NOT AT THE APC STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING – GAGDI

My absence at today’s APC stakeholders meeting in Jos, has generated a furore among our political detractors who went to town insinuating a phantom crack within our party (APC) in Plateau State.

Without equivocation, I want to state that I remain a committed member of the APC in Plateau state and unflinchingly loyal to our political leader, Senator Simon Bako Lalong and our gubernatorial flag bearer in the 2023 elections, Prof. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe; in whom I have found a trusted friend, brother and a likemind. Indeed, my trust in the Leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is remain unwavering.

My commitment and dedication to the ideals of our great party in Plateau State and Nigeria at large shall also remain unwavering. Let it be on record that I shall continue to do everything within my power to support the APC to provide a credible opposition in the state, while we press the right buttons at the Federal level to get a fair share of the national cake for our people as it is usually in my character.

For the avoidance of doubt, my absence at the stakeholders meeting today was occasioned by my routine visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for spiritual commitments for five days, ending tomorrow morning

I shall proceed to France (Paris) tomorrow, being 1st February 2024, where I shall be meeting privately with some important personalities for the advancement of my representation of the people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency. I hope to return back to Nigeria on the 6th February 2024, to continue my pact with my constituents.

My supporters and political associates are hereby advised to discountenance the rumour being peddled by our political opponents and go all out to support and vote for the two Candidates of our party, Amb Chris Giwa and Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan to represent Northern Senatorial Zone and Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency respectively.

I have been doing my best right over here, doing the needful and getting in touch with the leadership. I will not relent in ensuring that our party is Victorious.

Signed:

Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, PhD OON.

Member representing PKK,

National Assembly, Abuja.
