In just Eleven (11) months in office, as the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang (Esq) has registered a huge feat untold to the people of Plateau State and the nation at large.
The revelation concerning his achievements within this period under review rolled in today when his Commissioners decided to open up in a Live Program on Plateau State Radio and Television (PRTV) organized by the Director General of Research and Documentation, Governor’s Office, in collaboration with PRTV.
The live 2ND Town hall Accountability Forum, tagged: “The Time is Now Stewardship” attended by some of the Commissioners and Chief Executives of Agencies and Parastatals in the state and monitored by REALITY Editor-in-Chief, Prince Valentine Adese (JP), saw the revelation of untold feats of the Governor in the management of the state within the past 11 months.

The Attorney- General and Commissioners for Justice, from the State Ministry of Justice, the Commissioner of Higher Education, Transport, Local Government and Chieftaincy, Lands and Survey, and Health, all opened up on the state of affairs now in their Ministries since the Mutfwang’s administration in comparison with the immediate past administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Sen. Simon Lalong in the state.
Opening the revelations and the scorecard session, was the Attorney-General of the State, Mr. Philimon, who disclosed that, within the past 11 months, the Ministry of Justice is now wearing a new look with a new entrance, water supply from the borehole dug by the present administration, a new lively library, new office furniture and equipment all powered by the newly installed solar system.
He disclosed further that, all Lawyers in the Ministry have been provided with Laptops, and all dressing allowances accumulated since 2018 fully paid.
Adding that, “This is the 21st Century Ministry of Justice and it shows that this is the beginning of Justice”.
On her part, the Commissioner for High Education, Mrs. Chachollom, revealed that, owing to the interest of the Governor in Education, the Ministry has experienced a huge turnaround and the state is becoming an attraction to students once more.
She lamented how the educational level of the state had fallen so low when compared to its past rating. She said, “The determination of Governor Mutfwang to revamp the State Educational Sector, is already yielding results”.
According to her, the Governor has set up a visitation panel that went around the institutions in the state and has given their report which the administration had studied and also work on to do the needful.
She said to attract more indigenous students, the Governor has reduced tuition fees by 50%. That the Governor has made available funds for the accreditation and restitution of Courses in the Schools and that there are ongoing plans to convert some courses to Degree programs in the State’s Colleges of Education.
To this end, Mrs. Chachallom disclosed that the Governor has increased the state scholarship from N5000 since 2017 to a reasonable amount, yet to be disclosed, but that the increment is 300%.
She said, “We are doing our best to return Plateau State's image in Education. You must know that most Lectures in High Education from Plateau State are in the far North. We are doing everything best possible to encourage them to come back”.
