As the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections draws closer for the Houses of Assemblies and the Governorship, top contenders for the race have continued to maintain their lead in the Political Chess Board.
In Plateau State, the eyes of political watchers are more on the Central Zone, as it holds strong grounds of producing the next Governor of the state come 2023, to replace the incumbent Governor, Simon Bako Lalong.
The attraction drawn by the zone has also called on Political observers to ponder on, who would represent Bokkos/Mangu and Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency of Plateau State come 2023.
Although the zone has constantly shied away from using performance as the major criteria of voting or electing its representatives, the situation on ground may be a game changer.
It is a fact that, all the sons and daughters of PKK like Hon. Dr. Timothy Golu, have bagged performance as a middle name, the efforts of Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, to set a new standard of measurement cannot be over emphasized.
While, Dr. Golu in the coming general elections is gunning for Plateau State Governorship seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), facts are that, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi in his efforts is trying to make history of rewriting the PKK narratives, to return to the House of Representatives, owing to observed performance by the people.
An unbiased investigation by REALITY indicates that, Rt. Hon. Gagdi is more prepared to return to the National Assembly than others, who have their posters in the streets, indicating their intentions.
Gagdi seems to have extended his relationship to members of other political parties during major and after by-elections in the state in order to maintain friendship and unity within his constituency.
Although he may be having undisclosed contenders and others, who may not be wishing him well in his party, none can deny the fact that, he has assisted the party more than all members to see the party floating and winning elections especially, within PKK.
Many, who are not in the Political-Shift may take their time to attempt to introduce religion as a ground to ouster him from returning, but political observers have constantly stated that, Rt. Hon. Gagdi has upped his game in that direction, as he has never segregated in attending to and supporting any of the religious faiths in the state particularly in Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency of Plateau State.
Among the expected contenders for the APC primary election, Rt. Hon. Gagdi still tops, as he has his campaign office within PKK and in Jos, the capital of Plateau State and through that, he has created more jobs for the youths in the state.
To show his significant roles in the affairs of his Constituency and the State in general, only recently, Rt. Hon. Gagdi bagged the prestigious Award of the Independent Publishers’ Association (IPA) and that of the NUJ Plateau State Council.
