PLATEAU: REPS MEMBER, RT. HON. YUSUF GAGDI, DONATES N100M FOR SCHOOL FEES, GAVE OUT, 9 CARS, 360 MOTORCYCLES TO CONSTITUENTS

The Member, representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State, at the Lower Chambers of the Nigerian National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi has presented a cheque of One Hundred Million (N100 million) to members of his Constituency, in order to offset the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) fees of all final year Students.

Gagdi, yesterday, Wednesday, 25/5/2023, presented the cheque to the Elders’ Advisory Council of his Constituency on in Pankshin for on-ward delivery to the beneficiaries.

In his remarks while presenting the Cheque, the Lawmaker said, the gesture was to support the educational pursue of the children of the poor in his Constituency.

Explaining further, he said the money would be used to pay the registration fee for both the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO) of the students.

Adding that, the money is part of the proceeds of his personal investment and not part of his Constituency Projects.

”This gesture is part of my campaign promises and my personal efforts to better the lots of my constituents.

”This money will be used by the Elders’ Advisory Council of our constituency to offset the WEAC and NECO registration fees for our students.

”From our assessment, the total sum is N160 million, but we are presenting the cheque of N100 million today for payments to commence.

”This gesture is to enable the children of the poor in this Constituency access qualitative education with ease”. Gagdi said, affirmatively.

360 motorcycles

Although the Lawmaker did not mention the exact number of students to benefit from the gesture, he however, emphasized that, students in all the public, private and missionary secondary schools in the constituency were captured.

Gagdi also gave out Nine (9) 406 Cars and 360 Motorcycles to some of his constituents.

The high point of the occasion was when he personally presented the vehicles and motorcycles to the beneficiaries at the headquarters of the three LGAs (Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam) that made up his constituency.

He was accompanied to carried out the exercise by the Chairmen of Kanke and Pankshin LGAs, party officials and other notable stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Constituency

However, concerning forthcoming primary elections of his party, the APC, the Lawmaker advised delegates to vote credible Aspirants that would take the party to victory in the coming 2023 general elections.
