The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has become the first gubernatorial candidate to face the press since the conclusion of gubernatorial primary elections across political parties in Plateau State.
Dr. Nentawe, who paid a courtesy call on the Leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Plateau State chapter, led by Paul Jatau, as State Chairman and other NUJ members on Monday, the 4th of July, 2022, took the advantage of the visit to let Journalists into the future plans he has for the state, if voted in as governor.
Dr. Nentawe said, his priority is the security and welfare of the people because, “when this is achieved, the commercial, structural developments and opening the state to industrial building and activities would follow”.
Also, while fielding answers to questions from Journalists, Dr. Nantawe explained that, he has for long been misquoted that he has plans to discourage the traditional media operation in the state. But that he was simply encouraging the print media and its practitioners, to migrate to the New Media practice else, the fast development in the media industry may catch up with it.
Dr. Nentawe was warmly received by the NUJ Exco and member of the chapter.
