Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has said that he has resisted all efforts to set him on a collision course with his predecessor, Senator Tanko Almakura, by those, whose stock in trade is to create serious enmity between him and the Senator.

Speaking at a campaign rally on Tuesday in Doma Local Government Area (LGA) of the state Engineer Sule disclosed that, there are some people, who will constantly rush to him and lie to him that, Senator Almakura said this or did this with the intention of hearing his reaction and rush back to the same Senator and lie to him about his person as well.

The Governor said, “There is nobody that can ever come between the two of them, as Senator Almakura has done much for him”.

In part, he said, “Your Excellency sir, let me assure you that I will work for you harder than I will work for myself to ensure that you regain your Senatorial seat in next year’s election”.

While thanking the Doma people for turning up in large numbers to receive him and his campaign team, the Governor announced the immediate commencement of a one week free medical treatment for the people of the area, with a promise to upgrade the Cottage Hospital in Doma, to a Specialist Medical Center, which would be installed with medical facilities, if they all vote for him and all those contesting under the banner of the APC in next year’s election.

The Governor also assured the large crowd of his preparedness to ensure the immediate completion of Angbashi–Idadu road, if he is re-elected next year.

The State’s Chief Executive, also promised more empowerment schemes for both women and youths in the area, while assuring that, those that have acquire knowledge in various fields of endeavors would be provided with equipment so as to, continue with their trade.

He added that, they would enter into agreement with Commercial Banks to grand soft loans to women to enable them partake in petty trading.

The Governor, proudly to the gathering that, virtually all roads constructed in Doma town, were done by the APC administration in the state, claiming that, none of these roads were constructed by the PDP administration.

On his part, the State APC Chairman, Mr. John Mamman, described the Governor, “as a straight forward person, who always keeps to his promises”. Adding that, “the retention of his Deputy Governor is an attestation to that”.

He told the people of Doma that, the retention by Governor Sule, will go a long way in enhancing the rapid development of the state.

Earlier, in his welcome speech, the Chairman of Doma LGC, Alh Ahamed Sark,i commended the peace initiative of Governor Sule in the state and called on the people of the state to turn out en mass and vote for the Governor again next year, to enable him sustained the tempo.
