Earlier, the two-time Vice President (VP) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), North-Central Zone, Chief Wilson Bako, who paid an unannounced visit to the Permanent Secretary at his office in Lafia on Wednesday, had lauded the positive changes being introduced by, Chief Isaac Danladi (Esq), since his assumption of office, as the Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

Journalist Wilson, a former staff of the Nigerian Standard Newspaper, but currently writing for REALITY Newspaper, with Headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, also commended the Ministry for feeding the general public with constant and verifiable information.

You would recall that, Journalist Wilson had severed both as an Ex-officio of the NUJ National body and North Central Zonal Secretary.

Journalist Wilson, while lauding the Permanent Secretary, in part said, “It’s just a visit of a friend to a friend and we have been friends all along.

“When I heard of his appointment as the Permanent Secretary and later posted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, I knew that, a round peg had been fixed in a round hole because I know he would turn around the fortunes of youth and sports in the State.

“More so, after seeing how he administered the State-owned football club, Nasarawa United, honestly, I believe the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is the luckiest Ministry in the State, bearing in mind that, somebody, who can do it the way people would love it is now occupying the space.

“And this can be attested to by the triumphant reception and number of high-caliber of dignitaries paying him visits daily to express their congratulations and present their heartfelt solidarity to him.

“Personalities like the former Deputy Governor of the State, Prof. Onje Gye-Wado, the Accountant General of the State, former and serving Local Government Council Chairmen, former Permanent Secretaries, among others, have all been here, and this means there is something unique and touchy about him.

“I wish him well and God will continue to see him through, in good health, so as to be able to steer the affairs of the Ministry”.

According to the statement from Mr. Eche Amos, the PRO, Journalist Wilson, while associating the achievements of Isaac (Esq) with the staff of the Ministry, in part said, “I must say the Permanent Secretary has been blessed with a very powerful Public Relations Unit that projects whatever he does to the world.

“Some of us have been in the media industry for donkey years and whenever we see a good product, we can easily identify it.

“I wish to say, we read everything that comes out of this Ministry through the Information Unit everyday and I can say, without any iota of argument, that this is the only Ministry in the State that keeps the audience abreast with happenings in their organization.

“This is even more evident in the fact that, it takes a man that values publicity and knows the value of proper information dissemination to maintain this status.

“I commend my friend, the Permanent Secretary, the powerful Information Unit and the entire Ministry for being transparent in all your dealings, and I do hope that others will pick up from what you are doing.”
