PLATEAU: YOU HAVE ABANDONED YOUR CONSTITUENTS AND THE PETITION AGAINST YOU. AMB G.Y. GOTOM BLAST SEN. DIKET PLANG

As the Petition No: EPT/PL/SEN/06/2023, filed by Amb. Gulkuna Yohanna Gotom, concludes its Pre-hearing Session and fixed to start its main hearing, the 1^st Petitioner, Amb. Gotom has accused Sen. Diket Plang of allegedly abandoning his constituents and the case against him via the Petition over his declared victory by INEC at the polls.

He made this accusation in an interview with Journalists at the premises of the Tribunal, after the Petition had been adjourned to 14/15 of August, 2023, for the hearing of the Petition.

Amb. Gotom, accused Sen. Diket Plang, of allegedly abandoning the people of his zone in Plateau Central, “over desperation and ambition to stay in the Red Chambers of National Assembly’.

He also alleged that, “He practically abandoned the Petition challenging his emergence as Senator Representing Plateau Central District for the same desperation”.

According to him, “Plang has fragrantly refused to appear at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Jos, Plateau State, since the panel commenced hearing on my Petition months ago”.

Amb. Gotom, who is the Candidate of  People Democratic Party ,(PDP)  in the just concluded Senatorial elections for Plateau Central District, has also called on the President of the Senate, to embark on a thorough  investigation into  the intricacies surrounding Plateau Central Senatorial election and stop making ,Hon. Diket Plang a member of any Committee .

He told the Senate President that, currently, the Senate has only 108 members and he the “Digital Senator, Amb. G.Y Gotom”, would be its 109 Member.

Adding that, “I am a pragmatic leader with vision to attract development to the people of the Central Zone of Plateau State.

You would recall that, Amb. Gotom is the 1^st Petitioner in Petition No: EPT/PL/SEN/06/2023,  who is challenging the 1^st Respondent INEC, and the 2^nd Respondent Sen. Diket Plang, over the alleged on controversial Senatorial election.

Amb. Gotom said in proverb that, “In our Ngas Culture, we don’t celebrate a THEIF”.
