His Excellency Distinguish Senator TankoUmaruAlmakura is a business tycoon, former Governor of Nasarawa State for Eight years and currently a serving senator of the 9th Assembly.
He has been able to distinguish himself in terms of capacity building, infrastructural development and peace building over the years. As season technocrat and an administrator per excellence, he has invested enormously towards building a new Nigeria where fairness, equity and justice is clearly captured in the process of distributing the set values and resources across the length and breadth of the Nation. Hence, he has penciled the following germane consent to be his priority as a build up to the forth –coming National Convention of the All Progressive Congress (APC) where he is vying for the position of the Chairmanship and these are;
- Politics and Governance
- Security and Conflict Management
- Economic and Infrastructural Advancement
- Addressing the incessant increase in unemployment
- Curtailing the excesses in inequality
As a visionary leader, discipline, wisdom and courage he consider humility and a sense of humanity to be the crux of his reasoning and that gives him the capacity of being the Nationalist. In his book, “the trouble with Nigeria” late Chinua Achebe said; that there is nothing wrong with the Nigerian climate, water bodies, topography or the firmament but the problem with Nigerian is solely and squarely the inability of the leaders having the will power to determine the general well-being of our citizens. Therefore, leadership must be taken as a serious business from all ramifications. It is on this basis that we are extending a clarion call asking him to “GO ON TOP” as the National Chairman of our great party APC, so he could ensure the full implementation of the “MERGER PRINCIPLE” as one of the founding fathers of the party way back in 2014/2015.
In the main, the ambition of His Excellency Senator TankoUmaruAlmakura is not largely built around him achieving his personal aggrandizement, but his aim and objective is to strengthen the internal Democracy of the party through revamping the culture of National consciousness, National unity and patriotism in his discharge of duties. As a disciplinarian, the Supremacy of the constitution of the party will be a sacrosanct venture by all and sundry without any prejudice. Therefore, there is need for Nigerians to have a new paradigm shift from what has been obtainable to what ought to be by voting His Excellency Distinguish Senator TankoUmaruAlmakura.
