ANAMBRA: Ubah urges religious bodies to promote peace and orderliness in the society

The Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship Election, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday, appreciated the Church for their prayers and supports for peace in the society.

The Senator made this appreciation, after receiving a Special Merit Award presented to him by the Bishop on the Niger (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo for his immense support to the Diocese at All Saints Cathedral Onitsha. According to him, the Church has been playing key roles in bettering various aspects of the society and their efforts towards promotion of peace cannot be overemphasized.

Senator Ubah also congratulated the Niger Diocesan Bishop who celebrated his 10th Year Episcopal Anniversary and urged all to support services in the Lord’s vineyard because peace and orderliness will thrive if the church always promote the gospel.

He also called on everybody especially Christians to always try as much as they can to assist the church in promoting the wellbeing of the people and spreading the good news.

Speaking on the need for all hands to be on deck to achieve and sustain a peaceful society, the YPP Candidate urged religious bodies to always champion activities that will promote peace in the society and informed the congregation that in line with his principle of promoting people’s well-being, he convened a group of high profile citizens under the umbrella of Anambra Progressives and Development Union (APDU) to build an ultramodern Medical and Isolation Center at Odoakpu Onitsha. He also disclosed that the project which has progressed to an advanced stage shall be handed over to the Diocese after its completion.
