The Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has further described the allegations against it by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, as childish.
You would recall that, the APC, through its Acting Chairman of its Caretaker Committee, Hon. Enoch Fanmak Ramnan, had accused the PDP, that some of its members are using the unfortunate development in the state, to advance their selfish and cheap political ambition.
Hon. Enoch, in a press conference on Sunday said, “In particular, we have noted their unacceptable utterances and inciting comments on both the traditional and social media, which are carefully targeted at discrediting the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Simon Bako Lalong, and portray the Government as uncaring, with the hope of reviving their faded glory, as a rejected political party in the state and the country at large”.
However, in swift reaction, the Publicity Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Go’ar, (Former Speaker PLHA), flanked by, Hon. I. Mwansat (Former Speaker PLHA), Hon. Gregory Nyelong (Member of Committee), P. Davou, Esq (Member of Committee), among other members, in a press briefing said, “If the APC feels that, Traditional and Social Media are all working in concert in trying to discredit the Governor, and portray the government as uncaring, it then means that, there is unanimity of opinion that, the APC’s government in Plateau state is both, incompetent and uncaring, and everybody is talking about it”.
Adding that, “The media reports what they see. So, if they are not invited by Rayfield to the commissioning of projects, except renaming of streets and given press statements on “isolated attacks”, does anyone need to interpret incompetency to them?
Go’ar said, “What APC has sown is what it is been compelled to painfully reap!”
