BAUCHI: NEDC To Construct 500 Housing Units To Reduce Housing Deficit

Bauchi State would soon benefit from the mass housing scheme of the North East Development Commission in which, 500 housing units would be constructed in the state in order to reduce housing deficit.

The North East Youths and Elders Peoples Forum which made this known in a press release in Bauchi on Wednesday commended the Managing Director and CEO of the Commission, Mohammed Goni Alkali for executing meaningful projects in the North East Zone.

The press statement, signed by the National President of the Forum, Alhaji Salihu Magaji pointed out that, “since its establishment, the Commission has carried out massive rebuilding projects on houses destroyed by the activities of insurgents”.

According to the Forum, the foundation’s laying ceremony of the 500 hundred housing units in Bauchi would be performed by Governor Bala Mohammed of the state on Thursday in addition to Flagg off of distribution of food and non-food items.

The Forum said, “the NEDC under Alkali will also visit two gigantic historic roads that have defied previous administrations will be constructed by the Commission in Bauchi State”.

The National President of the Forum, expressed delights that, the Alkaleri to Futuk road in Alkaleri LGA as well as Alkaleri to Kirfi- to Gombe Abba road in same Kirfi that have defied solution for many years is being considered for construction by the NEDC.

Magaji said, while in Bauchi, NEDC will inspect ongoing construction of Soro cattle market in Ganjuwa LGA and Fistula Hospital in Ningi. NINGI LGA.

The forum expressed confidence in the ability of the leadership of the commission under the current management, adding that, it is glaring the Commission has recorded tremendous achievements in its mandate of rebuilding and developing the zone.
