By: Valentine Adese (JP),

According to the proposal made to the Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Jos, the Plateau State capital in Petition No: EPT/PL/GOV/02/2023, the Petitioners, Dabwan Alfred Clark and his party, the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), have submitted that they would call 5 witnesses to substantiate their case and also use only two days to complete same.

This was made known to the Tribunal by P. A. Akubo (SAN), at the Pre-hearing session of the petition, while informing the Tribunal of the agreements reached by Counsels in the matter.

According to Akubo (SAN), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would also call 5 witnesses and use 2 days to defend its victory.

Akubo said, INEC has proposed to call one (1) witness and also use one day to defend the conduct of the election, while Governor Caleb Mutfwang has proposed to call 4 witnesses within 2 days to also defend his victory at the polls.

Also today at the Pre-hearing session of the petition, Preliminary Objections (POs) filed by INEC, PDP and Caleb were moved and the Counter Affidavits heard.

While the Objectors are urging the Tribunal to dismiss the petition with cost, the Petitioners are urging the Tribunal to dismiss the Motions for lacking in merit.

The PDP was represented by the State Legal Adviser, Binchen Jantur (Esq), while Mr. Tokji John, represented the NNPP
