As a Tradition, Muslim faithful converge at the praying ground Masallacin Walin Kantana in Rijiya Tara, in Jos North Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, to listen to the preaching of the Imam known as (kutbah), after which, the two Rakaat prayer was said and the Imam slaughter his Ram and everyone went back to their various homes to slaughter theirs.
Eid-el Kabir is usually celebrated after fasting for Ten days of the month of Zul Hajji and after that, the Muslims go for the seventh sacred round on the day of Arafat at Mecca.
During the Kutba, the Imam, one Sheikh Khalid, urge all the Muslims to maintain peace and order as they celebrate and also urged them to observe the Covid-19 Protocols, while all Muslims to cultivate the habit of sharing food, assisting the poor and visiting one another.
In an on the spot interview with one Fatima Idris, she expressed her happiness to Allah to bless Nigeria and also bring peace and unity in Plateau state
Alhaji Auwalu also prayed and wish all the Muslims in the world happy Eid-el-Kabir as he slaughters his Ram.
