BREAKING: PLATEAU STATE PEACE BUILDING AGENCY, WELCOMES COLLABORATION WITH INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS’ ASSOCIATION (IPA)

Plateau State Peace Building Agency has welcomed the hand shake of the Independent Publishers Association (IPA), led by its Chairman Mr. Shabul Mazado, to collaborate in Information Management and Dissemination in the state.

The Director General (D-G), Mr. Joseph Lengmang, though emphasized that, the Agency has outlets for information dissemination and many programmes associated with it, said the initiative of IPA is most appreciated and a hand shake in that direction is welcomed.

According to Mr. Joseph, “The need for timely information on warning signs on conflicts are very important and the media’s role cannot be under estimated in achieving the results for which, IPA would be a crucial partner”.

IPA, which paid the D-G a courtesy call in his office today, the 2nd of August, 2021, told the Management of the Agency under the leadership of Mr. Joseph Lengmang that, the need to collaborate is of necessary now than ever.

Earlier, the Chairman, Mr. Shabul, leading other members of the Association, including its new member, Prince valentine Adese, Publisher/CEO of REALITY Newspapers, Radio and Television, told the DG and his Management Team that, “the Association was born because, there seem to be a lacuna that needs to be filled to help the Peace Building Agency’s efforts and challenges be known to the people of Plateau State and the citizenry at large”.

According to Shabul, the rate of insecurity and the need to develop under a peaceful environment cannot be offer stated hence, IPA members have come to offer themselves for serve.

Mr. Shabul said, “The Association is made up of Newspaper Publishers and has also a radio and television stations to its advantage to assist the Agency”.
